Order placing and Pricing information
People often wonder how  pricing works. Most are under the impression of being charged by the letters or charged by the item.  Some people also think that  we just sew out the design with a blink of the eye.
Embroidery is more complex then it looks. Grant you, there are a few easy items to embroidery. Most part, it does take a  good eye to understand  how the stitches work.
I will try my best to explain how a future customer should contact us and how I do my embroider orders and what it takes to get the best service and embroidered design for customers. I will us "design" as the product to be embroidered.
I will label these in steps.
I can embroidery on your items or you can look at our clothing catalog. I will need to see your item first so I know it can fix onto our embroidery machine..
How to place order:
1) Customer knows what they want or haves an ideal of what they would like designed. (Quantity orders read Quantity below)
2) Customers contacting me with there design information should know.
    A) What size they want there design. (Most my designs are already sized per the catalog).
    B) The kind of fabric and type of clothing it will be embroidered on...ie, hat, shirt, robe, towel, jacket, etc.
    C) What type of font do they like to use, script, block or other.
    D) What thread colors they might like to use. ( this can be done while at CSE step 9).
3)Customer then can e-mail me the information. russ@colorfulstitches.biz
4) I then input the information into the computer which will digitize the design in order for it to be read by the embroidery machine.
5)The information I get from the design will help me give you a approx estimate of what it will cost to embroider the design. Remember, it is only a approx estimate. The  approx estimate is not the finished
design. The reason being, I want you to be happy with the price before  I spend to much of my time "cleaning up" stitches.
6) I then e-mail you a approx estimated price along with a 3D photo of what it will look like embroidered. My estimates tend to be real close. The pricing/estimate is figured out in step 4 by what is called the stitch count. Stitch count is the amount of times the needle hits the product to make the design.
7) After you receive the e-mail and feel the price and the 3D design are to your liking. You then contact me again so I can start editing the design and also to arrange a time for you to stop by with the item to be embroidered. It does take a few days to embroider items. So please plan ahead. I would hate to have to push a customers item aside to finish yours and I am sure you wouldn't what that done to your order as well.
8) I will look over the design. Making sure the stitches/thread are lined up and will not sew out of place. I will also remove stitches that I feel are unnecessary and add stitches that are necessary. When finished editing the design. I will then e-mail you the total price to finish the embroidery.
9)When you drop off the item to be embroidered. You will also be able to see all the thread colors for your design and be able to make sure that they will look good on the item you what embroidered. Most likely I will still be editing your design before it can be embroidered. We can also aline the design onto your item to be embroidered making sure it's in the right spot.  You will also see the embroidery machine and I can show you the system I use to hold the product onto the machine.
9) After I finish embroidering your design. I most likely will send you a picture of the embroidered design and the total cost with tax to be paid to "Colorful Stitches Embroidery".
10) We then can make arrangements for the pick up of your item.

Now I hope I made it a little more understanding of what it takes to embroider?

Customer supplied garment.
Quantity of same name or more then one different name, same style font.

Same name:
Lets say you have one name you would like embroidered onto 2-15 peaces of clothing.  I charge a small set-up and hooping charge and I give you 3000 stitches for starters. I take the stitch count and times it by how many times it's embroidered. Plus $4 for each additional item to hoop. I add it up and that's the price, plus tax.

Lots of names:
Here's how I do it.
Let's say you have a soccer team or a lot of employees. You would first pick the font style (script, block) and e-mail me all the names along with what size you would like them to be embroidered. Make sure the spelling is correct on the names.
I enter all the names into the computer which will digitize the names. That will then tell me how many stitches it will take to embroider all the names. With that number I can give you a approx estimate of what it will cost to embroider the total order. I will also send you a 3D jpg of some of the names so you can see how the name will look embroidered.  If the estimate seems fair, I then edit the names. Making sure that the thread lines up and remove stitches that are not needed or add stitches that are out of place.
For this pricing, it makes it more cost/time saving then placing the order separately.
It does take time to set up names. And if I have to enter one at a time into the computer, then there will be a new set up every time.
